Be careful when using Expedia.com

We just booked our flight to "The Shot Show" in Februray,
Tried to book them through Expedia.com on September 05, 2003

Their WEB site gave an error, and did not complete.  So we went directly to the airline and booked the flight.
Got the conformation back from the airline and thought everything was fine.

Three day's later, I noticed a double charge on my account.
Not only did the Expedia.com reservation go through a day after the airline charge,
It was more expensive the going directly to the airline!

I contacted Expedia.com on September 09, 2003 and got a case number.

Called again on on 9/16/2003,
and was told no one requested a re-fund on the 9th.
She said she would do it right away.

Called again on on September 18, 2003
re-called because the first operator could not pull this up on her computer.
Second one put me on hold . . . . . then disconnected.
third call . . . . . she is telling me could take 2 billing cycles to reverse the charges.

~Bull Shit~

If they can take my money in a mater on minutes,
even when their WEB site said no transaction occurred,
Why should I have to wait TWO MONTHS for a refund?

September 19, 2003 update.
Got an email from  Expedia.com apoligizing for any inconviniounce, and please accept
"two- 25.00 coupons into your Expedia account,
valid for one year toward the purchase of either
Expedia Special Rate hotel reservations or Expedia Vacation packages"
and
"a refund should post to your credit card within ten to fourteen days"

Why 10-14 day now that I made a stink about it, when I was told TWO MONTHS before???

October 1st, 2003 update
Today, the bank just posted the refund but date entered was the 26th????
Thanks for correcting YOUR problem in a timely manner,
BUT WHY, DID YOU FIRST SAY IT WOULD TAKE 2 BILLING CYCLES?

CASE CLOSED 10-1-2003
