. . . At our customers request, we have decided to take pre-orders for the BW89 SP and BW89 PDW. A deposit of $300 per unit will reserve a SP or PDW on a first come first serve basis. We will make every effort to give first priority to our stocking dealers should there be a need to do so. Shipment is planned by early December.
. . . The new specification/catalog sheet for the BW5 and BW89 models. You will notice that the BW5 is also offered in a FS-Metal Lower, FS-C and FS-C-Metal Lower style. The FS-C will become a standard offering. However the FS-C-Metal Lower and FS-Metal Lower are limited production builds. Please note that the Standard model has been discontinued due to low customer demand.
FS-C: This is the FS with an A3 collapsible stock (replaces the A2 fixed buttstock). The A3 stock is a clone of the HK generation 2, A3 collapsible buttstock that typically retails for $450. All other features are the same as the FS style.
FS-Metal Lower: The FS is fitted with a "SEF" style metal lower (replacing the Navy/FBI polymer lower). It is the same metal lower that was offered on the Standard model. The lower selector positions are "S" and "F", only. All other features are the same as the FS style.
FS-C-Metal Lower: Combines the features of the generation 2, A3 collapsible stock and the metal lower. All other features are the same as the FS style.
We will begin to ship 30 round or 40 round magazines with every BW5 rifle. The particular size will depend on our inventory and is solely at Bobcat Weapons discretion. If you order from a state that limits magazine capacity, you will receive a 10 round magazine. If you plan to forward ship the firearm to a state that limits magazine capacity, you will have to request a 10 round capacity magazine.
At this time (9-17-2004) we have 22, BW5 Standard rifles in stock, ready for delivery. After the Standards are delivered, no more will be produced.
Bobcat Weapons will always consider special order rifles or pistols. The terms and conditions for a special order will apply and there will be an additional charge and extended delivery time commensurate with the complexity of the special order request. The specification/catalog sheet, attached to this email, may be freely distributed for the purpose of conducting business with Bobcat Weapons or in promotion of Bobcat Weapons products.
